Perched on the highest point in Oxfordshire, Chipping Norton was once the centre for the Cotswold wool trade and was given a Royal charter by King John in 1205. Located in an area of outstanding natural beauty there are many lovely walks in and around the town which is surrounded by rolling hills and idyllic limestone villages. There are several good pubs and places to eat within the town as well as a great selection of local shops.
